On Saturday, 22 October 2022, at night at around 23:00, in Klaipėda, on Jūrininkų pr., at the junction with Minijos street, a Citroen C5 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
