On Sunday, 23 October 2022, in the evening at 19:40, in Biržų district municipality, Skrebiškių village, on Liepų street, at the junction with Senoji street, a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.36‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
