On Friday, 18 November 2022, in the afternoon at 13:29, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with Sukilėlių pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Opel (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and under the influence of psychoactive substances. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
