On Wednesday, 14 December 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Ateities pl. near No. 40B, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A3 and a Peugeot 308. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
