On Saturday, 17 December 2022, in the evening at 19:14, in Kalvarijos municipality, Salaperaugio village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 95), a Mercedes-Benz Vito registered in Germany ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
