On Sunday, 18 December 2022, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on I. Kanto street near No. 24, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a car and a Toyota Prius. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of a car (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
