On Thursday, 22 December 2022, in the morning at 7:25, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 18), a MAZ 5551 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the MAZ (32 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. All drivers were sober.
