On Saturday, 11 February 2023, in the evening at around 21:00, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Jauniūnai–Alionys–Pajuodžiai regional road (kilometre 7.52), a Fiat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Fiat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
