On Tuesday, 14 February 2023, at night at around 2:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 32.85), a DAF FAR XF 105 registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the DAF (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
