On Saturday, 18 February 2023, in the evening at 22:35, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl., a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz, a Skoda Octavia and a BMW. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.82‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
