On Friday, 17 March 2023, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, Raudondvario village, on Saulėlydžio street near No. 4, at the junction with Dangaus street, a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (43 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.83‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
