On Sunday, 30 April 2023, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Zarasų district municipality, Purvynės village, on Liepų street, a BMW 530D Xdrive rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.97‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
