On Saturday, 6 May 2023, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Prancūzų street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E200 and a Mazda 5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
