On Sunday, 11 June 2023, in the morning at 10:20, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 49A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-CC and a BMW 330Cd. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
