On Friday, 16 June 2023, in the evening at 20:02, in Vilniaus district municipality, on A. Kitkaus street, at the junction with Upelio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a moped and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (0.69‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
