On Saturday, 17 June 2023, in the afternoon at 12:09, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Tvibiukai–Pašiaušė–Bazilioniai regional road (kilometre 4.90), a BMW 320D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.75‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
