On Tuesday, 25 July 2023, at night at 3:30, in Šilutės district municipality, Šyšgirių village, on the regional road, a MTZ Belarus-80 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the MTZ, who failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
