On Tuesday, 8 August 2023, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Raseinių district municipality, Paliepių village, an Audi A3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.37‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 19-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (1.17‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
