On Friday, 11 August 2023, in the afternoon at 12:01, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 108.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler, a Volkswagen Scirocco, a Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI 4MATIC, a BMW 118 and a Mercedes-Benz C220. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Chrysler (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober.
