On Sunday, 20 August 2023, at night at around 1:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Šiluva–Lyduvėnai regional road (kilometre 7.70), an Opel Astra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
