On Saturday, 26 August 2023, in the evening at 20:07, in Alytaus district municipality, Medukštos village, on Medžiotojų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-Caravan and a Toyota Prius. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
