On Wednesday, 6 September 2023, in the afternoon at 16:06, in Kaunas, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Birštono street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a bus and a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of a bus (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
