On Wednesday, 6 September 2023, in the afternoon at 16:06, in Šilutės district municipality, on Cintjoniškių street near No. 13, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
