On Thursday, 21 September 2023, in the morning at 8:05, in Klaipėda, on Kauno street near No. 29, a Chevrolet Captiva hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Chevrolet (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
