On Friday, 6 October 2023, in the afternoon at 14:55, in Vilnius, on Eišiškių pl. near No. 1, at the junction with Eišiškių Sodų 1-oji street, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Touran and a bicycle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.98‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
