On Friday, 13 October 2023, in the morning at 5:17, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Paberžė–Barskūnai–Medžiukai regional road (kilometre 10.93), a BMW 330D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
