On Thursday, 2 November 2023, at night at around 1:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kėdainiai–Šėta–Ukmergė national road (kilometre 23.40), a Lexus IS 220 d ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Lexus, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.22‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
