On Saturday, 4 November 2023, in the evening at 18:05, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 101.99), an Opel Corsa rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.28‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
