On Tuesday, 21 November 2023, in the evening at 18:20, in Vilnius, on Žygio street near No. 5, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Volvo S60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
