On Thursday, 28 December 2023, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kalvarijos municipality, Pelucmurgių village, on Muitinės street near No. 35, at a gas station, a collision with a reversing vehicle occurred. The collision involved a vehicle, a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t and a Renault Master registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 10 km/h.
