On Friday, 12 January 2024, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 43.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.82‰ blood alcohol).
