On Friday, 12 January 2024, in the evening at 17:30, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 26), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 118D, an Audi A8, an Audi A3 and a Skoda Fabia. No one was hurt in the accident.
