On Monday, 15 January 2024, at night at 4:41, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 45.40), a VAN Hool - registered in Estonia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the VAN Hool (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
