On Friday, 23 February 2024, in the morning at 8:27, in Šiaulių district municipality, Raizgių village, on the Kuršėnai–Gilvyčiai–Sauginiai regional road (kilometre 2.80), at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
