On Saturday, 6 April 2024, in the morning at 8:46, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 47.50), an Audi A3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
