On Thursday, 11 April 2024, in the evening at around 22:00, in Klaipėda, on Liepų street near No. 81, a Nissan X-Trail hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Nissan (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
