On Sunday, 19 May 2024, in the evening at 19:14, in Panevėžio district municipality, Gudelių I village, on the Ramygala–Pašiliai regional road (kilometre 3.20), an Opel ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.31‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
