On Saturday, 29 June 2024, at night at 1:30, in Zarasų district municipality, Garmuliškio village, on the Utena–Sudeikiai–Alaušas–Dusetos regional road (kilometre 25.70), an Opel Vectra Station Wagon hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. She was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
