On Wednesday, 3 July 2024, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Ateities pl. near No. 34C, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland, a MAN TGS and a Schmitz Cargobull S.CS24-13.62. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the DAF (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
