On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32, a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 25-year-old passenger of the BMW (severely injured, treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.86‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
