On Wednesday, 9 October 2024, in the morning at around 9:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Pašyšių village, on Šyšos street, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
