On Sunday, 20 October 2024, at night at around 1:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Strielčiai–Pociūnai regional road (kilometre 8.13), an Audi Q5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Audi (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.50‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
