On Thursday, 21 November 2024, in the evening at 19:20, in Vilnius, on Liongino Baliukevičiaus-Dzūko street near No. 90, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW, an Audi 80, a Volkswagen Polo, a Toyota Prius, a Ford Focus and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.73‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
