On Saturday, 14 December 2024, in the afternoon at 13:44, in Tauragės district municipality, Melagiškės village, on the Batakių g st–Traklaukis regional road (kilometre 1), a BMW rolled over. One person was injured — the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He refused a sobriety test, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
