On Tuesday, 17 December 2024, in the afternoon at 15:43, in Kaunas, on Alovės street near No. 14, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
