On Monday, 9 December 2024, in the morning at around 10:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, Beinaičių village, on Akmenių street, a motorcycle ran off the road. One person was injured — the 35-year-old driver of a motorcycle (treated as an outpatient, had no driving licence). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Touareg (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
