On Friday, 28 December 2012, in the evening at 17:30, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Pergalės street near No. 2, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Terrano and an Audi 100. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Nissan (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
