On Wednesday, 9 January 2013, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Telšių district municipality, on the Viešvėnai–Luokė–Upyna–Dirvonėnai regional road (kilometre 10.44), a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
