On Wednesday, 16 January 2013, at night at 0:40, in Ukmergės district municipality, Dukstynos village, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 74.55), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.07‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
