Volkswagen hits a drunk pedestrian at a crossing at Laisvės avenue and Viršuliškių street, Vilnius
On Tuesday, 15 January 2013, in the evening at 17:05, in Vilnius, on Laisvės avenue, at the junction with Viršuliškių street, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 60-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 60-year-old pedestrian, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
